Winter Holiday

Winter Holiday

I’m back from  the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga. It was a fun, exciting week, following Team Nunavut, skipped by our daughter, Julia Weagle. The highlight was their win against PEI, Nunavut’s first win in six years! Lots of great shots made, but no more wins to be had.

While at the arena, Tara Yelle came over to introduce herself – Tara has narrated five of the Stonechild and Rouleau books for audio format. Here we are at the rink.

We had quite the snowstorm while in Mississauga. It snowed steadily the entire day on Sunday, the wind pushing the snow at an angle into our faces, for an accumulation of two feet. Then, a 3.7 earthquake overnight a few days later, making us relieved to leave for home before the tsunami hit 🙂

Dundurn returned the Nobody Tell manuscript for my final review which I have yet to begin. I intend to buckle down the next week to go through it. Also, Dundurn has confirmed that the cover reveal will happen in the fall. I’ve temporarily suspended writing the next Hunter and Tate manuscript as I’m getting confused between the two books. I suspect I’ll need to do a whole lot of editing on this latest manuscript to make certain the characters are in the right book!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks and I’m decompressing in preparation to getting back into editing and writing mode. Coles Carlingwood has asked me to drop by to make a YouTube/Instagram video, and I’m booked for Friday afternoon. It’s so great to have their support. The Ottawa bookstores have become so supportive over all as have my readers 🙂

So another Saturday – last one in January – and time to get busy. A week away means there’s lots to do! Have a great week, everyone.
