01 Apr When Last Seen Officially Released!
Yes, today is the day that When Last Seen is officially available in all formats. The e-book will only be available from Amazon for three months and then from all the distributors, including Kobo. If you can ask your local bookstore and library to get in the books, that would be great! I recently watched a marketing webinar and they said that these places will order books when there is customer interest, so every request helps. Also, posting a review helps spread the word and builds my readership.
Speaking of which, I attended a terrific book club last evening after being contacted by Cathy through Facebook (BrendaChapmanAuthor page). This wonderful, warm group of women have been meeting for over ten years and last night was Deb’s turn to host. Deb lives very around the corner from Rocky Point, one of the key locations in the new book! One of its members named Catherine read Blind Date and they decided to choose it as their March read. They had some great questions about the book and my writing process and the evening flew by with great conversation, wine and snacks. Here they are – Deb is holding the laptop with a club member Dawna Zooming in from Mexico!
A Vancouver writer, book promoter and publicist named Bob Harris interviewed me yesterday for Crime Writers of Canada as part of his series ‘Bob’s Notes’. The interview came out last night in a newsletter that I’m not certain how to link to here. I’ll see if I can get that for you next week.
So most of this past week was spent organizing my receipts for tax season. That took much of three days to complete but I’m happy to report that the accountant now has everything they need and hopefully there will be no questions or money owing. The tax deadline seems to roll around faster and faster every year. Am I right?
Coming up this week, I’ll be appearing on Cable 22’s Daytime Ottawa with host Derick Fage on Tuesday, April 4. I was on the show last year via Zoom because of the pandemic, but this time will be in-person. It will be good to meet Derick in real life! I’ll also be working on my latest manuscript this week. I’d hit a bit of a plot snag but think I have it sorted. That bogged me down for a bit.
We’ve got a rainy, grey day going on here in Ottawa. Just right for snuggling in with a cup of coffee and a newly released book 🙂 Have a great week everyone!
