Waiting on Spring

Waiting on Spring

Top of the morning to you. I imagine there are a few green headaches today in honour of St. Paddy:-)

A few nice things to report this week. I received a message through my public Facebook page, asking me to drop in on a bookclub, at first virtually, but then in person as we realized I live nearby. This will be a Friday evening at the end of the month. They tell me that they really enjoyed Blind Date and want to discuss it!

Just a reminder that I’m available to visit bookclubs in person or virtually. You can send a request through the contact page on my website.

I’ve also now got two store signings lined up, adding Books on Beechwood in May in addition to the April 30th book launch at Irene’s Pub. If you live in Ottawa and area and can’t make the launch, I’ll be at Books on Beechwood on Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at Coles Carlingwood on Friday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can always find my upcoming appearances posted on the home page of my website.

There have also been a few nice advance reviews posted this week on NetGalley. Here are a few snippets:

“Great premise. Well written. Good characters. Page turner. Plenty of suspense to keep me guessing…”

“Set in Ottawa, this is a slick and comprehensive police thriller. Fast moving and intriguing it all comes together with a move I didn’t see coming.”

Such great feedback to keep me motivated!

So the week ahead will include some writing (having a hard time settling in at the moment) and more marketing and publicity. It’s also my Monday to post on 7 Criminal Minds blogspot. There’s never a lack of things to do.

It’s slowly beginning to feel like we’re turning the corner into spring although the snow piles are still mighty high. I’m looking forward to sitting outdoors again with morning coffee and am planning my garden. This year, Ted is making me some containers and I’ll be growing vegetables and herbs. My list includes carrots, scallions, radish, lettuce and tomatoes. It won’t be much longer before it’s planting time 🙂
