24 May The Book Has Launched!
So Who Lies in Wait is officially launched. This past Thursday evening, Dalal, Manager of the Ottawa Curling Club, hosted my latest book launch, and it was a terrific venue. There was a good-sized crowd with Jim, owner of Perfect Books, on site to sell books. My good friend Kathryn Anthonisen introduced me with some very kind words, and Fred Taylor was my photographer as he has been for all my recent launches. Fred has also been a good friend since our days working in the government together. I’ll post some of his lovely pictures below, but first want to say that this will be my last blog post until September as I take a summer break.
I submitted my manuscript to Dundurn last Sunday, and wrote a short story for consideration in an anthology, also submitted, This coming Monday, I’ll also be posting my last entry in the 7 Criminal Minds blog as I step away and make room for another author. It simply felt like it was time. All in all, I’m ready to take a few months off, especially since gardening season is here!
I’ll be visiting another book club this coming Friday (you can contact me through my website if you’d like to arrange a visit to your club), and I have three Saturday store signings coming up — I keep my public events updated on the front page of my website.
And that’s it for me for several weeks, but check back when school starts in the fall, and I’ll be back for my weekly updates. Have a wonderful, fun, safe summer, and be sure to make time to read a good book or two 🙂
