10 Jan Saturday morning Catch-up
Another Saturday morning, and we’re moving through January at a great clip.
The Nobody Tell manuscript arrived back in my email for one last look on Tuesday evening, and I’ve spent the last three days going through it again. I caught a few errors (missing quotation marks, for example) and did some final word-smithing, finishing up yesterday afternoon. I expect this will be the last time I see it before publication next January. I’ll have to check when I can share the cover, which I saw a few months back.
I had been writing the fifth Hunter and Tate mystery earlier in the week and got a few thousand words completed. It’s difficult switching between two manuscripts, and I’ll need to get back into this story again. I’ll begin aiming for the 500-words a day minimum, working to get a solid pace going.
I’ve been in touch with Jennifer who owns Book’s Better at 275 Brockville Street in Smiths Falls. On Saturday, February 21, I’ll be doing a signing from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. followed by a book club from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Jennifer is making up a poster that I’ll also share. The same week, I’ll be visiting a book club from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25 at the Clarence-Rockland Public Library.
So it’s been a quiet week on the writing and life fronts. We’re getting back into our routines after the holiday break, recovering from too much food and drink along with more socializing than normal. I don’t know if it was the pandemic when we stayed home for months, but I enjoy hunkering down and puttering around the house. Between reading, writing, and Netflix, I don’t need much more entertainment!
Have a good week, everyone:-)
