Moving Forward

Moving Forward

Happy Saturday morning.

A bit of good news to share. I’ll be having a book launch for When Last Seen on Saturday, April 29 (save the date!) at the Ottawa Granite Curling Club. As many know, the club is closing down for good in May in preparation for moving to a brand new club further into the west end in time for the fall season. I’m delighted to announce that the Haughian Brothers Band will be playing and Perfect Books will be selling copies of the book. The time will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  It should be a fun party – room to spread out and lots of free parking. Be sure to save the day and time – April and spring will be here before we know it!

The When Last Seen pre-publication reviews on NetGalley continue to be terrific. One reviewer writes: This book had all of the elements for a great thriller: lots of twists, a page turner and overall great dynamics and relationships between the characters.

And another review: Full of twists and turns, When Last Seen is the second outing for Ottowan crime solving duo Hunter and Tate, and it certainly delivers what a good mystery should; red herrings, false leads, oblique clues, high stakes, and interweaving stories of crime and betrayal.

Some very encouraging feedback!

This week, American thriller writer Robert Crawford interviewed me for his blog and you can find the interview here. He asks some interesting questions about my books and my writing day and process.

I can also share the new Cold Mourning cover as Dundurn works to re-issue the Stonechild and Rouleau series along with the last five books in audiobook format. It has that cold, frightening vibe going on, don’t you think?

And the snow keeps on falling in Ottawa. The banks are now several feet high, making driving out of the laneways into traffic treacherous. The world is beautiful pristine white, however, houses and trees capped in snow. So nice to sit inside near the fire with a book and cup of tea. Enjoy the weekend, my friends and I’ll be back to chat next Saturday 🙂
