Launch Week!

Launch Week!

Happy Easter, everyone.

Such a busy week! When Last Seen made its official release April 1st and has been lucky enough to get some publicity.

First off, Vancouver author Dietrich Kalteis interviewed me for his blog Off the Cuff, and this includes a snippet of the latest book if you’d like to read a sample.

Fresh Fiction, a terrific book site for discovering new authors, posted a When Last Seen review and they also ran an article where my main character Ella Tate answers questions – intrigued?! Here is the link. 🙂

Also in the review category, When Last Seen is a Booklife Editor’s Pick and received a great review. Here’s a bit:

“…Wows with well-crafted tension and original characters. In a genteel Ottawa neighborhood … Literary sleight-of-hand comes naturally to Chapman, and the culprit could be one of many poker-faced or temperamental suspects as in any worthy mystery-thriller. A tryst with an escort, a traumatizing roofie, a naive vigilante, and plenty of delectable surprises make When Last Seen a treat for mystery readers.”

On Tuesday, I was on Daytime Ottawa with host Derick Fage to talk about the latest book. In the green room, I began chatting with three of the other guests, and we quickly became friends, cheering each other on. Whoever finished their segment first waited around to watch the others and we posed in front of the giant tv screen for a selfie as Derick Fage wrapped up the show.

Here is the YouTube link to my interview!

Waiting in the green room.

Guest on the show: Physiotherapist Nathalie Chartier, Musician Derek Jones, me, & Artist Petr Maur

With Daytime Ottawa host Derick Fage.

So, next up is the launch at Irene’s Pub on Sunday, April 30th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Put it on your calendar and come by to help celebrate! Perfect Books will be on hand with books for sale and the Haughian Brothers Band will entertain us.
