Launch Week Arrives

Launch Week Arrives

Party time is almost here! Yes, this coming Thursday will be the launch of Who Lies in Wait at the Ottawa Curling Club on O’Connor Street. There is some parking on the club premises and there is also a city parking lot as you turn the corner (right or west) onto Catherine. Street parking is another option. I’m hoping for a big crowd so please come help celebrate if you’re free. The more the merrier!

Monday, I visited a book club in Ottawa South at the neighbourhood’s lovely community centre. The one book club had grown into a couple and friends of friends. This all came about because I happened to be sitting next to a woman from the Carleton Heights Curling Club after they defeated my team in inter club play, and the topic of my books came up. Mary Ellen Sanderson immediately asked me if I’d visit her book club, and Monday was the result. She also moderated and asked some excellent questions. Another great thing was meeting up with a woman I hung around with when I first came to Ottawa some forty years ago – we’d lost touch, so it was great to catch up.

I continued editing the Nobody Tell manuscript and will have completed the third review by the end of the long weekend. I’ve been doing more research as I go, adjusting the plot lines, and tweaking words. I’ll be submitting the book a week early and free to focus on the launch.

This was also my Monday to blog on 7 Criminal Minds and the question concerned the use of the little verb is, was , were … here’s a link to my post. I’ll have one last post next week before I end my run on the blog. I’ll also be stopping this blog at the end of May for a few months as I take a summer break.
