Into March

Into March

I’ve been busy this week.

First of all, I found a Canadian printer in Burlington – a huge thank you to Peggy Blair for the recommendation – and I’m weaning myself off Amazon for books on demand. I’m using them to print my next book and copies of Fatal Harvest. It feels good to keep my dollars in Canada. I spent part of the week reviewing the manuscript one last time before sending it off for printing. Almost there …

I visited a book club at Harmer House yesterday, a seniors residence in Bells Corners. Such a nice group of people with interesting questions and an obvious love for mysteries,  We had a lovely time chatting about books, and I read from Blind Date. It’s so great to meet readers and introduce them to my books!

I continue to write the latest Stonechild manuscript. The new title I pitched appears to be accepted so I can share it now. Since all the Stonechild books have two-word titles, this one had to follow suit. It will be called Nobody Tell. A bit ominous? I’ll be working on the last few chapters this week and then have a few months to rewrite and pull it all together.

It was also my Monday to blog on 7 Criminal Minds, and the question concerned plotting. Here is the link to my post.

My book club met on Tuesday evening and we read a book that we all liked called Hotline by Dimitri Nasrallah. While not a mystery, it’s the story of an immigrant woman and her son in Montreal. You can’t help but root for them, and we all loved the ending.

The weather is changing to the spring freeze-thaw cycle, and we’re even hitting 10 degrees later this week. Hallelujah! Don’t forget the time change tonight, another sure sign that warmer days are ahead.

Time for my first coffee of the morning. Have a lovely weekend, everyone 🙂
