26 Apr Celebrating Independent Bookstore Day!
Good rainy morning!
This is a great day to visit your independent bookstore or to take part in the independent bookstore crawl. I’ll be appearing at Books on Beechwood in Ottawa this afternoon with John Delacourt from 1:00 to 2:30 as part of their author lineup. Come by if you can 🙂
It’s been another week of editing the Stonechild manuscript due in to Dundurn on June 1st. I’ve almost completed the second go-through, this time rewriting a lot of the text. I have time for another reread (maybe two). I’ve found with editing that there’s always something that needs improving or little errors that need fixing even on the tenth round of edits.
I’ve decided to end my time on the 7 Criminal Minds blog at the end of May. I’ve been blogging with them for several years now and answered just about every question imaginable about the writing process and business. I’ll also stop this blog soon for the summer, possibly at the end of May also. There’s a lot going on this month with the launch of Who Lies in Wait. I will keep the list of public appearances updated on the main page of my website throughout the summer.
I completed watching Mad Men this past week, having blitzed the last season. It was an interesting character study of the main – well – characters while following the main events of the sixties and seventies. I think it might even have started in the fifties. Anyhow, worth a watch.
I won’t chat long this morning as I need to get ready to head across town to Books on Beechwood soon. Maybe I’ll see you there!
