01 Mar Catching Up
I’m baaack.
It was a fun week watching out two daughters curl in the Scotties in Thunder Bay. You can even hear my interview with CBC Ottawa Morning — Rebecca Zandbergen interviewed my Thursday morning. If you listen, you can hear that a virus had taken root in my throat. It’s been a tough week and I’m still coughing, but I’ve been able to get some work done. I had to postpone an author visit to a seniors residence on Friday until next week.
I’ve been doing another final review of the Who Lies in Wait manuscript and will have that done in a few days. I’m at the point now where I can barely stand to read it, so that means my work on it is drawing to a close. I’m just tinkering now in any case. It’ll be time to start working on some publicity and marketing. You can pre-order the ebook from Amazon if this is you preferred way to read it – there are already several orders.
I’ve been plugging away on my latest Stonechild manuscript and am at about 58,000 words. The end is in sight! I’ve worked out the next scenes in my head although am not altogether certain how the details will play out. This is the most fun part. I’ve had to change the title (which had been Dead Ends) because Dundurn has another earlier title the same. I’ve sent in an idea that they appear to love, but I’ll wait for the final approval before sharing.
Aside from travelling, being sick, and trying to get Who Lies in Wait ready for printing, I’ve not been doing much exciting. I am longing for spring and warm, sunny days when we can get outside again. It snowed again over night, however, so spring seems a long way off. Maybe instead of Thunder Bay, we’ll head somewhere south next year 🙂
Have a good week everyone, and if you’re also under the weather, feel better soon.
