Busy Days

Busy Days

Good Saturday morning.

This will be a short post today as I’m in the middle of a curling bonspiel being held in Chelsea, Quebec, not all that far from our house. Our first game was last evening (we squeaked out a win) and we have two more today.

So this week, I completed the review of my editor’s changes to my manuscript and wrote the cover blurb. I also finally decided on a name for this book and have lined up Laura Boyle to design the cover – she’s created them for the entire series as well as the Stonechild books. I’m currently doing another reread and fine-tuning the text. Cover reveal soon to come!

Last Saturday’s store signing at Coles Carlingwood went well. When people come up to chat and buy books, the time zips past. I tried out my new sign, which I attached to the front of the table, and noticed most people reading it as they went by or before they came over. Rather than, “Are you the author?” I got, “You must be the author”. Progress!

Great news! This week, I also received a formal offer from Dundurn to publish book eight in the Stonechild and Rouleau series, so that is officially my next project and will take me the rest of this year and spring of 2025 to write.

And this coming Saturday, I’ll be at Coles Bayshore for another signing. Some busy days ahead.

Here’s a complete list of my upcoming public engagements:
