Book Cover Reveal!

Book Cover Reveal!

And January is well underway.

I’ve been working daily on my two manuscripts, completing another edit of Who Lies in Wait before getting back to writing the 8th Stonechild book, which I’ve already titled Dead Ends. I had to complete an outline and come up with a working title for this one, so that’s why I’m this far along with the details. I’ve reached 35,000 words on the draft and have to pick up speed to make the June 1st deadline. The book deal will be announced in Quill & Quire and Publisher’s Weekly next week.

So, Laura Boyle has been working on the Who Lies in Wait cover, which I can show you today! This is the 4th in the Hunter and Tate series and will be released May 1st.

I’ve not a lot of news to share this week. My first event of 2025 is at the end of the month when I visit a book club. I’ve purposely not gone looking for bookstore signings because I have to focus on writing for the next while. I forgot to mention that Dundurn asked me to submit a short story for an upcoming anthology, and I wrote that over the holidays. I love writing a short story when I have an idea for the plot. I’ve yet to get any feedback from the acquiring editor, but can say that Ted and my friend Sue both liked it – good enough for me! This story is titled “The Guilty One”.

Check back next week to see if I’ve managed to buckle down and write every day. (Wish me luck.)

Have a great week, everyone and stay warm. We’ve been having some frigid temps in Ottawa all week but not a lot of snow. Some crazy weather going on elsewhere in the world. Whoever says there’s no such thing as climate change has some big, old  blinders on.
