29 Apr Big Day Tomorrow!
So tomorrow is the day! The When Last Seen launch is from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30th at Irene’s Pub (5th and Bank). We’ll start ‘the talk’ and reading around 3:30 with a special guest appearing closer to 4:00. I hope you can make it! I’ve reposted the invitation at the bottom of this post with all the details. Check in here next week for some photos from the event. My good friend Fred Taylor will be snapping the pics!
And don’t forget to support independent bookstores this weekend. Our six local shops are taking part in a Indie bookseller crawl It stared Friday and runs through Sunday. Pop into any independent bookseller in Ottawa, get a stamp at each location, and if you collect a stamp at all six, you have a chance at winning a $150 gift card. They also have special deals throughout the weekend. Check them out – I’ve added their website links: Perfect Books, Books on Beechwood, The Spaniel’s Tale, Octopus Books, Singing Pebble Books, and World of Maps. Terrific stores, one and all.
It’s a great book-kind of weekend!
I completed my review of the first 40,000 words of my latest manuscript and added a couple of thousand words as I edited. I’ve started working on the second half, feeling a bit more energized to keep the story going. Let’s hope I’ve got the first draft finished when I return to blogging in the fall 🙂
Dundurn is sending along new bookmarks to me with the revamped covers as they reissue the series. I’ve already posted the first three covers so time to reveal the last four. Here they are:
