At the Keyboard

It was a writing-kind of week. The end of the first draft is in sight for this manuscript as I managed about 6000 words this week. It always seems that I speed up toward the end once I sort out where the plot is heading. Next comes the notes for each chapter and a catalogue of the details to make certain all aligns. I already know there will be lots of rewriting ahead.

Last week, Debbi Mack, who lives in Maryland, interviewed me for the Crime Cafe podcast, which she posted a couple of days ago. Here is the link to the video – if you could make a comment of some sort, Debbi would appreciate it. (I believe it helps with sponsors.) Debbi has a large following, and she lines up authors a year or two ahead!

I’ve been invited to some events and signings and will be posting on my main page once everything is confirmed. I’m visiting a book club in May, but this is a closed event – I’ll only post those events that are open to the public, like my book launch on May 22 at the Ottawa Curling Club. I should also say that the electronic invitation is in the works, but you don’t need to receive it to know that you are welcome.

This was my Monday to blog on 7 Criminal Minds. This week’s question concerned our writing habits, or lack thereof, whether we reward or punish ourselves if we don’t write every day or make our word count. Here’s the link to my answer.

And that wraps up this past week. I see more writing in the upcoming one. Two of the curling leagues I play in are winding down with the arrival of spring. We’re having some beautiful weather with the odd cold day thrown in. Won’t be long before we’re back in the garden and sitting outside in the sunshine.

Good week, everyone!
