And the Christmas Merriment Continues …

And this morning, I’m back at a Christmas craft sale alongside my partner in crime, Don Butler. We’ll be at the Hintonburg Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and I believe there are 60 vendors in total. It’s a great chance to get in some Christmas shopping and to support local artisans. Be sure to come by our table to say hi and maybe buy a book – should be a fun day. I hear there’s a chili lunch too!

And if you can’t make this one or live further east, we’ll be at the Shenkman Centre next Saturday in the morning only. John Delacourt and Amy Tector will handle the table in the afternoon, but copies of our books should be available all day.

Well, I signed a contract with Dundurn on Thursday for book 8 in the Stonechild and Rouleau series. I’ve gotten a jump on the manuscript, which is due June 1st, now at 28,000 words. I’ll need to get more serious about that daily word count. I’ll be happy to reach 40,000 words by the end of December, but this is such a busy time of year that I’ll cut myself some slack and buckle down in the new year.

I’ve also been to-ing and fro-ing with my book cover designer about the concept for Who Lies in Wait, book four in the Hunter and Tate series. I’m starting a reread of the manuscript, which is getting close to done. I’m word smithing now – tinkering with those final niggling sentences. The cover should be ready for you to have a look early in the new year.

I blogged this past Monday on 7 Criminal Minds and here is the post, which gives some of my experience learning about publicity and marketing from other authors. For the next few weeks, we’ll each be giving our reading picks, so be sure to check it out.

And that wraps up my news. I’m loading up the car and off to the fair. I’m hoping one of those artisans is selling coffee!
