My Weekly Catch Up

My Weekly Catch Up

Happy Saturday afternoon! My internet was down all morning so I’m blogging late today.

A bit going on this week in my writing world. Wednesday afternoon, I joined a Kingston book club by Zoom to discuss Cold Mourning and Butterfly Kills. They’d read both and had prepared questions that we discussed over the next hour. It was great to get their feedback and insights into the stories. Very cool to meet a book club living in the city where the series is set!

This coming Thursday, I’ll be visiting a book club in Stittsville (in person) and they’ll have read Cold Mourning. I’ve been told that one of the members took a tour of the places mentioned in the book, since this one is set in Ottawa. I also hear there will be wine 🙂

I was also contacted by Shayne at Coles Carlingwood to set up a signing on a Saturday in October. We picked October 10 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This store currently has copies of all the Hunter and Tate books in the series if you’re looking to pick up all or any.

Finally this week, The Book’s Better in Smiths Falls contacted me to reschedule a signing as well as to take part in a mystery panel in September. We’ve yet to confirm either, but I’m hoping we can set something up. I’ll keep all my public events and news updated on the main page of my website.

I’ve been working away on a chapter in my latest Hunter and Tate manuscript, not sure if I’m nailing it or not.  The plot lines are coming to their climaxes and take a lot of thinking to get right. It’s like figuring out a puzzle.

And that’s it for this week. I’ll be back next Saturday but that will be my last post for the summer.Time for a break!
