14 Jan Snowed In
Good snowy morning. This is our third big snow ‘event’ of the season and my husband Ted has managed to be away for every one. Coincidence? Shovelling has become my new workout regime. Yesterday, the City asked us to stay home and off the streets as they worked to clear the roads. I was more than happy to comply.
This week, When Last Seen was posted on NetGalley, a site for reviewers, librarians and media to read advance copies and post reviews, whether favourable or less so. Here is the link if you are a NetGalley member/reader. I note that the cover already has 21 likes!
Dundurn is moving along with reissuing the Stonechild and Rouleau series. They’re taking the opportunity to tidy up some pesky editorial errors and sent me some changes to go through. I’ll likely be re-reading the new galleys next week for Cold Mourning – been a long time since I last read that book.
The original cover – new one soon to be revealed!
I haven’t managed to get any writing in this week on my latest manuscript but have decided not to worry about it. I figure once I have all this editorial work done for When Last Seen and the Stonechild books, my mind will be clear to focus on a new project. I also have some marketing and publicity work to concentrate on with the April 1st release. There’s no end to tasks needing attention.
But for this morning, I’m drinking my second cup of coffee before heading out to curl in Chelsea, Quebec as part of a diabetes research fund-raiser. It’ll mean trudging through the snow drifts to the street, but I’m luckily being picked up by a teammate. My afternoon will likely be spent with shovel in hand — winter in Canada, aye?
