08 Feb Short Update
I’m late posting this Saturday because I was curling in the Crystal Heart city-wide bonspiel, which raises a great deal of money for heart and stroke women’s research. With a two and two record, we bowed out after this morning’s game. I’m thinking a hot bath is in my near future to help with the sore leg muscles!
I’m still on a bit of a writing break but have started thinking about my next project. In the meantime, I’m tidying up my latest manuscript and working on a synopsis. I also worked on my taxes paperwork this week, recording all my receipts – this took an entire afternoon. I’m also going to have to start sending out launch invitations soon but figure not for another week or two.
I’ve got a little writing helper/distraction this week named George. He waits for me to finish working at my desk so that we can go for walks or he can sit in my lap. Dogs keep life real. They also keep you from doing housework because, what’s the point? Little doggie footprints every time they come in from outside – I’ll give the place a good scrubbing when he returns home.
I’ve been invited to present my writing at Arts Night at the Unitarian Church at the end of April. I was an author guest several years back and enjoyed the experience so am pleased to return.
So not really a great deal of book work this week with all the curling but I’ll get back into the routine come Monday. Have a good week, everyone.
