03 Feb All Work and No Play
Having a busy week!
On the publicity front, I’ve lined up a Fatal Harvest launch at Perfect Books, which will take place Wednesday, May 1 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. No band this time, but there will be wine and snacks and lots of time to mix and mingle. I hope you can come out and help me celebrate my 25th book, published 20 years after my first novel Running Scared.
If you can’t make the launch, I’ll be at Octopus Books the following week, reading and chatting alongside John Delacourt as we both introduce our latest books. Then on Saturday, May 25, Don Butler and I will be signed at Coles Billings Bridge, likely between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., but the hours are yet to be confirmed – I’ll adjust on my website if anything changes. You’ll also find all the events listed on the main page as they are confirmed.
Also this week, placed a new bookmark order, dropped an advance copy of Fatal Harvest at the Glebe Report office for a possible review, spoke with Kitchissippi Times about an interview for the April issue, and finalized a book club visit in March. I also went through the manuscript again and found only a few things to change this time. I will soon have to stop fussing with the text because it’s beginning to feel obsessive-compulsive. I also managed to work on the latest manuscript although not too seriously. I’m reacquainting myself with what I’ve already written.
So, lots going on. I hope you are also having a productive start to the year as we round into February. We’re promised some sunshine here in Ottawa this week, which will mark a good change from January. We know that sun is up there somewhere.
