Christmas Eve Eve

Christmas Eve Eve

It is Christmas Eve eve and all the creatures are stirring — even the mice. Winter Solstice happened a few days ago and we’ve turned the corner, adding a few more minutes of daylight each day.  This is a time of anticipation as kids wait for Santa to arrive. It’s also a week to slow down, spend time with family and friends, eat, drink and be merry. I believe we all appreciate getting together with people even more after the pandemic lockdowns.

I didn’t accomplish much on the book front this week as I prepared for the holiday and started on the socializing bit 🙂 I finished going through the Fatal Harvest manuscript again and sent it to Lisa, my final reader, for one last objective set of eyes. I’ve also started going through it again. Every time, I find fewer and fewer words that need changing. I’ve set aside book four for this week but will get back at it when I have time. Fatal Harvest will be available for pre-order in January – more on this in the new year!

I have a few book club visits coming up in January but they are closed events. I had put one on my website at the library and am sorry that I didn’t indicate it was for an organization. I’ll be certain to keep these types of events off my upcoming appearances so as not to confuse anybody.

This is a short post today as I know most are busy preparing for tomorrow. We’re hosting dinner for ten, so look forward to a wonderful evening with friends and family. No snow in the forecast, but this means no shovelling — not a bad trade off! For all those who celebrate the holiday, Merry Christmas and best of the season to you. I wish everyone a peaceful, happy holiday with special moments of joy.
